I don’t often do webinars, but I am happy to join when the topic, the guests, and the agenda are right. And that’s what I’ve got this week, as I join a Gridstore webinar with two fantastic guests: Geoff Barrall, founder of BlueArc, Drobo, and Connected Data, and George Symons, who you might run into at Legato/EMC or a number of startups since then.
Our topic this week is “Size Does Matter (In Storage)”, a cheeky phrase that came up in the discussions we’ve had over the past month. Honestly, I wish those planning calls were recorded, since they were some seriously engaging and amusing enterprise storage discussions!
We will be discussing “size” on wednesday:
- The divergence between performance-oriented and capacity-oriented storage solutions
- The challenges of scaling from small to massive, both on the back end and on the client side
- The future of the enterprise data center, as the cloud and “big data” takes over
If you’ve enjoyed any of my previous seminars, webinars, or other presentations, I know you’ll enjoy this one as well.
Register here – the webinar is Wednesday, February 26, at 9 AM Pacific
This webinar is sponsored by Gridstore, and I urge you to take a look at their Tech Field Day presentations to learn what they’re up to. The following video, with Kelly Murphy, is particularly good. Alas, Kelly won’t be on this webinar with us. Maybe next time?
