Cloud Slam Storage Panel: This Will Be Interesting

April 23, 2009 By Stephen Leave a Comment

After a successful presentation on enterprise storage in the cloud on Monday, I’m looking forward to wrapping up Cloud Slam ’09 in style. And what better way to discuss the storage implications of cloud computing than to get just about everybody doing storage in the cloud on one panel? I’ve got an idea! How about having the whole thing moderated by the Chief Rabble Rouser of the storage community?

That’s right, folks, Jon Toigo is moderating a panel on storage in the cloud featuring:

  • Cameron Bahar, ParaScale
  • Ed Beauvais, EMC
  • Jim Cuff, Iron Mountain Digital
  • Stephen Foskett, Nirvanix (hey, that’s me!)
  • Doug Ko, Bycast
  • Mike Linett, Zerowait
  • Jinesh Varia, Amazon S3
  • Jeff Whitehead, Zetta

Is anyone who’s anyone in cloud storage not on that list? Jon’s got his work cut out for him trying to keep that panel on task. This will be interesting!

If you’ve registered already, I believe you can listen in to the madness. Otherwise, I believe it costs $52 and seeing as this is one of the last sessions on the last day, I don’t suspect you’ll be signing up just to hear me holler above the crowd. I’ll report back here how the whole thing goes.
